How to Download Windows 8 Consumer Preview – Download Guide
Same i tweeted this morning, Windows 8 Consumer Preview is now available for the download at Microsoft official links. We have already mentioned that next Windows 8 Beta will be named either as Windows 8 Consumer Preview or as Release Candidate. Now it is almost available for full world. and most importantly it is now available in 5 languages and the it is availabe and can be downloaded via using manual and automatic download and installation method.
here is the two methods, where you can easily download the Windows 8 CP and install it as well.
Manual Method (download, and then manually install).
Automatic way for downloading plus installation.
There are some limitation which are there to be consider before moving on on both ways.
Machine should meet below mentioned points.
- Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster
- RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
- Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
- Graphics card: Microsoft DirectXÂ 9 graphics device or higher
- To use touch, you need a tablet or monitor that supports multitouch
- To access Windows Store and to download and run apps, you need an active Internet connection and a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768
- To snap apps, you need a screen resolution of at least 1366 x 768
Manual Method:
- First you need to download the ISO file of Windows 8 CP.
- After downloading burn the ISO file on DVD via using USB/DVD Download Tool or Windows Disk Image Burner.
- Then insert the written DVD into DVD rom and start the installation manually.
Automatic Download and Installation:
- First you need to download Windows 8 Consumer Preview Setup.
- After download completes, run the setup file.
- Make sure you are connected with WIFI or Broadband internet.
- It will check the compatibility on the said machine.
- After checking the compatibility, Microsoft will provide the CD Key.
- Save the CD Key and move toward the further where setup will start downloading the image of Windows 8 Consumer Preview and from onwards after download complete Installation screen come out.
