We have tried the customize process and it works equally well. Lock Screen in Windows 8 is also different and having better graphical detail and it is alternative way to save the energy and take out the stress of system screen.

Guide to Change the Lock Screen in Windows 8
First just take your point on left bottom corner, Metro Start Menu will appear.
Click on Search Tab and you will be taken another screen.
Now by Default Apps will appear on left side big divided screen.
Select Configuration option as suggested on the below mentioned screen shot.
Now you will have the below mentioned screen and click on Preference.
Now you will see Lock Screen and User Tile, on Right side of divided screen. Select the wallpaper of your own choice.
YOU ARE DONE…
Now when ever you lock your laptop or system, selected wallpaper will appear on the lock screen. Thanks
