iPad 2 Not for the Bloggers !!!
Well iPad 2 already verge of the release by Apple and it will be on 11th March this year. Already on Apple Official portal, it has been announced that on 11th March and priced at $499 similar price to the older iPad. In Tablet world it now declared war between difference Manufacturers. Motorola Xoom and Galaxy Tab of Samsung already in the market.
Having some kind of advantage over other, so far Motorola Xoom having Android inside and iPad having IOS 4 or older inside makes an huge impact on Gaming but for me as Blogger thoughts in my mind, i simple think iPad 2 is still not my first option, if i opt for blogging.
Few Keynotes, to consider or not to consider iPad 2
- For blogging you need swift and easy go luck kind of gadgets, through which you can receive updates and start publishing it. Or initially search and then publish.
- The touch feature, no matter how they will get improvement, they cannot replace the actually keyboard, where my fingers will reach out for appropriate keys to be punch out. And due to same reason, iPad have the sync and integration feature with Keyboard Dock and Keyboard.
- For Blogging you need actual keyboard and little laptop, you can say you need Netbook type of machine, which is easy to carry. I know iPad is easy to carry but it does not have compatibility with other gadgets on ease. It is easy to carry iPad but if you have to 500 words content, i will prefer to have Netbooks.
- And to receive daily or frequent updates, one should have smartphone, so that through Rss Readers, twitter and facebook i will be receiving frequent updates. Rather than having 3G iPad.
- iPad 2 having A5 dual core faster processor and better graphical detail, stays good for Gaming, not for the blogging. 3G feature stays with the Smartphone and it will not be that much benefit because, eventually i cannot replace my Smartphone with iPad 2 only because of 3G feature.
- Cannot consider it as true netmeeting or Video Conferencing and Smartphone or even iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 can be more considerable for the Video Conferencing.
- Having speed and sleek slim feature, does not do special for blogger but for the show off people.
- Extreme Gamers do not use the gadgets or laptops having no high defination video 3D cards, so also sort of no for gamers.
Final Decision
So it is simple to decide, for me as Blogger, iPad 2 is not my first preference and i better move with smaller Netbook, which will be easy to carry, video conferencing can be done on it. Actual physical keyboard will be there for the key punching. Price of Smartphone and Netbook is still under the under, on which iPad 2 has been offered for the general public. For me iPad 2 is just tablet to read and something like heavy duty multimedia newspapers. Having Latest Mac Book or latest Laptop with high specs means a lot more than having iPad 2.
