For the Pwnage Tool users, you are on again…. yes this time you can Jailbreak iPhone IOS 4.2.1 with Pwnage Tool 4.1.3. Previously it was Pwnage Tool 4.1.2 which enable the user to Jailbreak iPhone IOS 4.1 and this time Pwnage tool 4.1.3 will do the trick of Jailbreaking. And after that guess what? yes iPhone ISO 4.2.1 will be enable to Unlock for the carrier. For those who are already willing to transform onto Latest baseband they can follow this particular post.The process of the Jailbreak is very much similar just few things are changed.
Few Limitations are: if you update the baseband, you cannot go back to older baseband. If you proceed, warrenty with the Apple will be void and cannot be reversed again. You cannot restore the stock Iphone firmware once you proceed. So proceed on your own risk.
Process is :
1. Download iPad 3.2.2 (which is required to update on 06.15.00 baseband)

4. Now start Pwnage Tool 4.1.3 and browse it to iPhone IOS 4.2.1 and proceed further.
5. Now process will ask whether you want to update the Baseband, click yes and browse to the iPad 3.2.2 OS when it was prompt. Fetch it, and it will replace iPhone IOS 4.2.1 with iPad 3.2.2 to update the Baseband 06.15.00.
6. Now process will ask you to create custom .IPSW click on YES and file will be created on desktop.
7. Put your device on DFU Mode while connecting with iTunes.
8. System will ask to restore, Restore it will be custom created .IPSW and process will do the rest to Jailbreak the iPhone IOS 4.2.1.
After Jailbreak if you want to Unlock your Device, Follow the post of Unlock iPhone IOS 4.2.1 with Ultrasnow 1.2
For Jailbreak iPhone IOS 4.1 there is minor Update for the Pwnage tool 4.1.3.
Just Download the updated Pwnage Tool bundle Package and right click on the folder. and click on “Show Package Contents” and copy past the file “iphone2,1_4.1_8B117.bundle“ and copy it to location : Contents/Resources/FirmwareBundles/ and start following on the step # 4 from above. and Your device will be Jailbreak easily.
