First Download Pwnage Tool 3.1.5.
Then Download Latest Pwnage Tool bundle, which is offered by Msft.guy and Extract it to the desktop.
Now after downloading Pwnage tools and Bundles, Download iPhone IOS 4 and iTune 9.2.
Now Download Cydia bits. (data.tar)
Now go to the folder where you have download Pwnage Tool 3.1.5 and copy it to the desktop and then right click it and click on “Show Package Content”.

and copy the “iPhone2, 1_4.0_8A2 93_bundle” into navigated folder : Content/resources/firmwarebundles/

Now again navigate to a folder : Content/resources/custompackages/cydiainstaller.bundle/ and paste the Cydia Bits file “Data.tar” file in it.
Now Start Terminal on your MAC. and run commands mentioned here under:

cd desktop
cd pwnagetool.app/contents/resources/custompackages/cydiainstaller.bundle
tar-xpvf data.tar

After doing this close all the windows and Run the Patches Pwnage Tool and Select iPhone 3GS device it will automatically pick the iPhone IOS 4 as your firmware.
After picking your iPhone IOS 4 OS, proceed further. After that Pwnage tool will ask you for the Contract, Click on “No” because if you click on “Yes” your iPhone 3GS will be useless and it will not be unlock on the IOS 4 sor sure so click on “NO” straight away.
After that Pwnage Tool will create custom .ipsw file through which your device will be jailbroken. and It will deliver the “Success Message” there after.
After custom .ipsw file creation, you have to restore your OS. Open iTune 9.2 and connect your iPhone with it.
Click on your iPhone on iTune, and press and hold on the left “alt” button on the keyboard and click on “RESTORE” button in the iTune and then release the “Alt” button.
After that it will be on iTune to do the rest and just wait till your iPhone restart by itself. After self restart, your iPhone 3GS on iPhone IOS 4 will be fully function Jailbroken phone.
