yep its true…. but you can try Gevey Sim Card…. try that it is external Sim card which can unlock many idevices, hope that it will help u too….

Hey all, I am new to the unlocking and jailbreaking scene I have an old Iphone 3g and it is on baseband 05.15.04 with boot loader 6.04 and what I’ve been reading this phone cannot be unlocked.. . is this true still, the threads I’ve been reading have mostly been about almost 6 months or older..

well forget about 3.1.3 OS, u will get iPhone IOS 4 in few days… and guys around informed that it is already Jailbroken and Unlockers will be there to unlock iPhone IOS 4 as well. and the Baseband will be secure and preserved as it is.

Buddy…… no body can unlock the iphone have same specs as yours. U can just jailbreak it. so it is always advised not to upgrade it on 3.1.3 OS. wait for the iPhone 4.0 OS to come. It will be launch after day or two.. but do not rush onto it. We have to check iphone 4.0 OS as well. people are making comments that iPhone 4.0 OS is capable of jailbreak and unlock as well but we have to look into it before world would get into trouble once more.. so wait and stay in touch for getting true update

I’ve a question. My Iphone is 3Gs OS 3.1.3 (7E18) , baseband is 05.12.01 and bootloader version is 06.04 . I already jailbreaked with Spirit but the sim is not working yet. Is there anything I can do to unlock the sim section ? Thanks again
