It is now four months that i am using Windows 7 RC and since then i hardly turned on my PC with Windows XP. My Laptop, PC is having dual boot, having Windows XP and Windows 7 on board. But most of the time, i do not bother to work in Windows XP. The reasons are very much clear. Because of its features, appearance, stability and the compatibility with other third party tools. Windows 7 RC OS is a definitely master piece of Microsoft.

Well there is no doubts that Windows 7 is more stable then any of the OS provided my Microsoft but it also carries lots of added features and integrated software. The Appearance part is also exceptional. Specially the different of 32 to 64 bit advancement, sets the Windows 7 OS on fire.

Installation Feature:

Well Windows XP installation was bit tricky and new users can be in trouble will making partitions but in Windows 7, every thing is streamlined. The installation time of Windows XP is round about 35 to 60 min and it depends on the PC and laptop specifications but Windows 7 takes 20 to 35 min for its installation even on PC or laptop having only 1 GB RAM. Although the over all required specifications are on the higher side.

Appearance Feature:

Windows XP is having low appearance which is less attractive but Windows 7 is having much improved appearance. The resolution  carrying more depth. Transparency, Slide show of Wallpapers and Theme  Editor are the key feature added in the Windows 7. People can modify and make their own custom Themes. Appearance can be optimize as well if instruction would be followed as my article on Optimize the Windows 7 via Appearance Control.

Administration Tools:

The administrative tools can also be found in Windows XP which are hidden in newly installed Windows XP but it does not have same impact which administrative tools are having in the Windows 7. With more Hard Drive Data control, Appearance control, Users Privileges policies and many other features are added in the Windows 7.

Tablet PC Feature:

Tablet PC Feature is added into the Windows 7, through which users will finally can get the touch features via Touch screen Tablets. Speech Recognition Feature,  Parental Control Feature, Windows Defender, Virus Scanning and Firewall and many other features are added in the Windows 7.

Index Crawling Feature:

Index Crawling feature is one of big added features in Windows 7. If user’s PC and laptop is highly specifications, this particular feature helps Windows 7 while scanning and searching the desired applications and files from the hard drives. In case of laptop or PC having low specifications can turn the Index Crawling down, which helps the user to get the optimize performance from Windows 7, as mentioned in my article on Optimizing the performance of Windows 7 via index crawling control.

IIS and Integrated Database Tools:

In the presence of IIS and Integrated Database system, Windows 7 can work as stand alone Local Web Server, which was absent in Windows XP. With the help of IIS and Database, different Local Web servers can be created. This integration eliminates the third party tools element which users have to adopt in Windows XP.

Many other things which are offered for Windows 7 users such as, deployment and Testing tools separate, Windows 7 from Windows XP.

Words from Tucknoloji:

Well the Windows XP kill is definitely on the card, as having Windows 7 on any PC or Laptop, it is very rare for users to download any web related tools or software for web tasks. Installation is easy to follow and less time consuming. Windows 7 having more stability feature and its internal scanning serves best and inform well to the users about the resolution if there is any kind of error. however on some low specs PC and Laptop, Optimization can be done, as mentioned in my article on Pagging File Optimization of Windows 7
